PAUL PHILLIPS – TENOR SAXOPHONIST

Paul plays saxophones (soprano, alto, tenor and baritone), clarinets (Bb soprano and bass) and flutes concert and alto). He began, professionally, as a clarinet player in the Australian Army Band Corps 1975 in Melbourne, with whom he went to England in 1977 to play the Royal Tournament, for the Queen’s Silver Jubilee, and the Colchester tattoo.
Regular member in countless big bands including John Ferson’s (1985 and 2000), Tropicana (1997 -2001) and Bird yard (2008-09). Paul was given an opportunity to play with the “AIRWAVES”, and on hearing the talent of the band readily accepted to be the Saxophonist.
